Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal breathed a huge sigh of relief and joked his team will have him close death after another comeback win for the Owls.
For the second successive home game, Kieran Lee fired in an injury time winner after the Owls conceded the first goal and this time it was Nottingham Forest who suffered the fate.
Ten days ago at Hillsborough Lee popped up with a winner against Bristoil City, with Wednesday then coming from 2-0 down. This time Carvalhal’s side fell behind to Henri Lansbury’s deflected opener before Lee equalised.
Then just as the clocked ticked into time added on, Lee was there again for his third of the season, sending Hillsborough into raptures.
Carvalhal though, would much prefer his teams successes to be a little more comfortable.
He said: “If the plan of the team is to kill me, they are very near, I must tell you! One more game like this and they will kill me!
“We created a lot of chances to win the game. Nottingham Forest were very difficult and organised opponents and they had some chances also.
“When questions are put to us, we must give the correct answers and I felt we did that so we are happy.
“We are creating and moving the ball with personality. My players showed a lot of character to win this game.
“We put Gary Hooper behind Fernando (Forestieri) and Fletcher. We took some risks because Nottingham Forest’s full-backs attack well.”
On the man-ofthe-moment Lee, Carvalhal added: “He’s a player that coaches and colleagues appreciate because they understand his influence. He’s a fantastic character who works hard all the time.”
