Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal heaped praise on his players after their 2-1 triumph at promotion-chasing Aston Villa.
Adam Reach claimed his third goal in as many outings, scoring a spectacular opener after 16 seconds at Villa Park. Jordan Rhodes doubled their lead in the 23rd minute.
Although Villa piled on the pressure after the break and netted a late consolation through Chris Samba, the Owls held on to secure their first away victory in over two months.
Carvalhal said: "We prepared very well for the game and I think my players did fantastic work.

"We blocked their dynamic. We prepared very well for the game and didn't give them chances.
"My players did absolutely fantastic.
"We created chances, scored two goals. We could have scored more goals.
"We played with quality. I think we performed very well. I don't think that we played better today than in the last three games. I think we have played at the same level in the last three games. The difference is sometimes when we win, it makes a big difference."

The Portuguese boss is convinced his Wednesday side have turned the corner, having watched them collect seven points from their last three fixtures.
Carvalhal said: "We played very well against Derby with 10 players. It was the same against Barnsley and Millwall.
"The results are coming and the confidence is more high so we are happy about that."
He also hailed Reach's performance, saying: “He scored a fantastic goal.
“He’s English, young and I don’t think there are many players in the Championship who play with the same intensity as he does.
“He covers the most distance, he plays every game and we are very pleased to have him at Sheffield Wednesday.”
