Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal says new signing Fernando Forestieri could hold the key to an even more attacking Owls side.
The Italian signed on Saturday after a quick tour around Hillsborough and was announced before kick off.
Carvalhal says the 25 year old, who signed a four year deal with the fee believed to be in the region of £3m, will bridge a gap between midfield and attack and is a player like no other he has in the squad.
"Fernando gives us one player we have missed since the beginning," said Carvalhal after Wednesday's 3-1 defeat to Middlesbrough. "We have been trying to find one player to be a second line of the midfield, we don't have a player who can play there."
He added: "Forestieri will be very important to us because he is a player who can play behind the striker. He is a player who can play between midfield an attack, to support the attacker so that is something we have missed."
Wednesday have also signed left back Daniel Pudil from Watford on a season long loan.
