Sheffield Wednesday will give Daniel Pudil up until tomorrow before deciding if the left back is fit to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
The Czech Republic international was taken off early in the games against Wigan Athletic and Bristol City, having struggled with a thigh injury and Pudil then missed last week's defeat to Birmingham City at St Andrew's.
Adam Reach deputised ably at full back, but Wednesday missed his more obvious talents on the wing.
Head coach Carlos Carvalhal, speaking with the press ahead of the visit of Forest, said Pudil is 'progressing well' and will undergo a test tomorrow to ascertain whether he will make the game.
"We don't know yet about Daniel, if he had recovered or not but we have some expectations," said Carvalhal. "Let's see tomorrow, he has answered very well to the problem that he suffered in the other game. He's progressing very well, day-by-day he's getting better so let's see tomorrow."
Aside from Pudil and Marco Matias, who Carvalhal said is also closing in on a return, Wednesday have a full-strength squad available for the match against Forest, with Sam Hutchinson returning following his suspension.
