Have your say

They came so close but James Milner’s double - the winner coming in injury time - denied Sheffield Wednesday at least a draw at the Etihad in the third round of the FA Cup against Manchester City.

Here’s how Owls fans on twitter reacted to the last gasp victory for the Premier League champions...

Proud owl tonight. Players played their socks off, so unlucky #wawaw #getcarriedaway #swfc #uto

Unlucky not to get a replay today, but was personally a great day for me to be on the bench #26

Hard to take, deserved a draw at least. Performance was huge today but we need to bring this to the league and push on now. #swfc #proud

No shame in losing 2-1 to the current pl champions hopefully we can take a bit of confidence from it and push on now #swfc

Nuhiu was fantastic, my MOTM. Won absolutely everything. May did great to create the goal too #swfc

Proud of the blue & white wizards. Gutted we couldn’t hold out for the replay. Hope the lads can take the heart from the performance #swfc

Aaaargh! So disappointed and deflated. @swfc were just 90 seconds from drawing with the English champions! So very nearly. #swfc #FACup

Hope I don’t die before the day #swfc are able to bring players like Samir Nasri and David Silva on as substitutes.

Had right chest pains from the celebration of Nuhiu’s goal! My heart has never beat so fast in my life #swfc

Lees and Loovens were at their commanding best. A performance to be proud of, all round. #swfc

Cruel game. Tremendous discipline to keep City out for so long. Nuhiu is brilliant #swfc

So proud of Wednesday, if that doesn’t give us confidence for a play-off push, I don’t know what will. #swfc

THIS is why I’m proud to be a Wednesdayite. We lose but no bitching, moaning or excuses, just appreciative of the team & effort #WAWAW #swfc

Couldn’t be prouder of my club. Every single player gave their absolute all, we may have lost but they can hold their heads high #swfc
