Keiren Westwood, Andre Green and Joost van Aken are all drawing closer to being back in contention for the Owls as the business end of the Championship season approaches, it’s unlikely that any of them will be back this weekend as Moore prepares his side to go up against high-flying Norwich.

But while those three are close to returning, it appears that the likes of Massimo Luongo Moses Odubajo and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru could be a bit of time yet.

Moore explained today, “Luongo is not quite in training yet, whereas Green and Westwood are back on the grass so that’s pleasing for us. We’ll assess them each day as it goes along.

“I don’t envisage them being back for this weekend, but I want to make sure they’re right, and right until the end of the season. But they’re back on the grass, which is a pleasing thing. For this weekend though, I doubt it.”

When asked about Odubajo and other injuries, he went on to tell the media, “He’s still in the treatment room, and while he’s making good progress he’s not on the grass at the moment. He’s still a time off yet, and with hamstring injuries you can’t rush them. He’s in good spirits though… After the international break I should be able to update you guys as to where he’s at.

“Fisayo should be back on the back grass next week, Joost is back out running. So there’s starting to be a little bit of light from the medical room. Once you see them back on the grass, provided there’s no adverse reactions, you start seeing light at the end of the tunnel. For them as individuals it’ll be nice to be back out and rubbing shoulders with their fellow professionals.”
