Carlton Palmer wasn't exactly prolific during his time at Sheffield Wednesday, nor anywhere else for that matter, so ahead of the Owls' match against QPR on Saturday, let's marvel at this wondrous hat-trick from 1991.
That it came in the first half only adds to its excellence, as Wednesday ripped apart Rangers at Hillsborough on August 31.
And the goals weren't bad either. Palmer's first came at the end of a superb build-up, in which he too was involved, with the midfielder slotting home from 12 yards.
The second was a great finish, a deft header into the bottom corner and the treble was completed when Palmer knocked in from close range after a run down the right from David Hirst.
Wednesday would do on to win the game 4-1 with John Sheridan scoring the other for the Owls and Dennis Bailey on target for QPR but the day belonged to Palmer.
