They were all good in their own way and it's no wonder Sheffield Wednesday fans were wondering which one was their favourite as the Owls hit four goals against Preston North End.

Boss Jos Luhukay was certainly impressed. Wednesday haven't scored more than two in a game in the league under his watch, let alone goals of such quality and so there were few people in Hillsborough smiling as much as he was.

We had a superb run from Jack Hunt and a deft flick from Lucas Joao which set up Atdhe Nuhiu for the first. Then Barry Bannan's exquisite ball over the top which found Lucas Joao's intelligent run and a lovely looping header that followed.

If that wasn't enough, Nuhiu secured his second successive brace when he picked up the ball on the right, beat two men and curled incredibly into the top corner from just inside the box.

Then, the icing on the cake - a beautifully converted free kick from Forestieri on his first appearance since August, which lifted the roof off Hillsborough.

If he had to chose, it would seem Luhukay was a big admirer of the last two.

"From the second half when we scored twice, all the players are important but the strikers when they are scoring goals it's mostly them who make the difference in winning games," he said.

"Today we had that. Not just Atdhe, Lucas scored a fantastic header and of course the third and the fourth goal, that's why you come as a supporter to the stadium, to see those goals. The players are very happy but for me the most important thing is the fans see a team fighting for each and the fans give 100% support. At the end it is very nice game for us."

So why did it happen this way? Lucas Joao was the key.

"I think a lot of things came together," Luhukay added. "Don't forget the first half, we had a lot of problems in the game. I said in the last few days that Preston is one of the best teams in the way they play. They are technically very good and we had a lot of problems. They didn't create a lot of chances. But in the second half Lucas coming in was the key for more offensive actions and we scored two goals. Preston scored and made it a dangerous situation. we have scored goals in the last minute so it was a positive direction for us to make the third an fourth goal."
