With the start of the League One season fast approaching, Sheffield Wednesday will be hoping to bounce back to the Championship at the first time of asking.

The Owls suffered a hugely underwhelming season in the second tier last time out, but in Darren Moore, are fortunate enough to have a manager who knows League One very well.

The Hillsborough boss left Doncaster Rovers partway through 2020/21 to try and help Wednesday beat the drop, and while he may have been unable to pull that off, his experience in the league below should give his side the best possible chance of fighting for promotion – especially after a proactive summer in the transfer market.
