The Owls and the Sky Blues clash in a rearranged Championship fixture tonight and so what better time to take a look at some of the players who have pulled on the shirts of both sides?
There are a couple of legendary Wednesday names in there. Let’s take a wander down memory lane..
1. GK - Keiren Westwood
A former player of the year at both clubs, Westwood may well return from injury to take his place between the sticks for Wednesday on Saturday. The 36-year-old old played 131 league matches for the Sky Blues from 2008-11. Photo: David Rogers
2. DL - Reda Johnson
An Wednesday icon of the last century, Johnson's whole-hearted performances made him a cult hero at Hillsborough. He left S6 for Coventry in 2014. Photo: Shaun Botterill
3. CB - Richard Wood
Not many players in the modern era play more than 100 league matches for three league clubs, but that's exactly when Rotherham veteran Richard Wood has done, for the Millers, for Wednesday and for Coventry. Having come through the ranks at S6, he played 117 league matches for the Midlands side before moving on to Charlton. Photo: Mike Hewitt
4. CB - Peter Atherton
Another member of the 100 club with both sides, Peter Atherton was perhaps not the most talented player in the late-90s Wednesday sides, but he was certainly full of heart and loved a tackle. He joined the Owls from Coventry in 1994 and went on to make over 250 appearances. Photo: Getty Images
