Sheffield Wednesday’s away trip to Derby County will kick-off at the earlier time of 12:30pm, it has been confirmed.

The Owls will make the eagerly-awaited trip to Pride Park on December 3 for the first time since they were held to a 3-3 draw and suffered the heartbreak of relegation from the Championship back in 2021.

Wednesday confirmed the decision has been made with fans in mind, to avoid a clash with a potential England World Cup match in Qatar.

Wednesday’s original kick-off time of 3pm would have clearly directly clashed with the fixture, with the match moved to accommodate football fans being able to watch both games.

The match sees two of League One’s biggest hitter go head-to-head.
