Sheffield Wednesday are currently in 11th place in the league, but if the Championship standings were based on away support then they would top the table.
In the first six games of the season, the Owls have the highest average away attendance in the league with 2790.
The next best are Championship new boys Stoke, with 2682, then Bolton with 2503 and Nottingham Forest on 2286.
Wednesday’s away supporters witnessed their first win on the road this term when Jos Luhukay’s side overcame Reading at the Madejski Stadium last weekend in a 2-1 win.
The Owls also fared well in the average home support standings, ranking 8th overall so far this season – one place behind city rivals Sheffield United.
