Tom Lees is backing Owls team-mate Atdhe Nuhiu to continue terrorising Championship defences next season.
Nuhiu finished the 2017/18 campaign in a rich vein of form, notching nine goals in Wednesday's last eight matches.
His superb exploits in front of goal, which included a hat-trick on the final day against Norwich City. earned him a two-year contract extension.
And the Kosovo international, standing at 6ft 4ins tall, looks set to be a key component of Jos Luhukay's first-team squad in the forthcoming season, which gets under way in less than a month's time.
Lees told The Star: "The form that Atdhe finished the season in was very good.
"He is one of those players who will thrive off that confidence.
"It has been difficult for him in other years when he has not really played or been a key player. He was always coming on as a substitute or getting a few minutes here and there.
"So it is nice for him now to feel a little bit more involved and I'm sure that will give him a lot of confidence."
Centre-half Lees believes Nuhiu gives the Owls a much-needed physical presence in attack.
"He's very awkward to defend against," said Lees. "You can never take your eyes off him, especially when the ball is out wide as he is a threat.
"Atdhe is a handful and different to a lot of the other strikers you are going to face.
"He's an asset for us and we have got a lot of different options up there which is great for us."
Meanwhile, over 3,000 Owls fans will cheer on the team when they take on Lincoln City at Sincil Park in their opening pre-season friendly this Friday. The warm-up match kicks off at 7:30pm.
