This weekend was meant to be one filled with football, from Good Friday through to Ester Monday. Instead, with the coronavirus pandemic, everything has taken somewhat of a back seat. Sheffield Wednesday were due to have a double header against Preston and QPR.
Transfer news has been on the back burner with clubs just trying to make sure they are robust to survive the football lockdown. It doesn’t, however, mean there has been no news and speculation, everything from solutions to the current climate as well as possible moves.

1. Leeds captain wants White to stay
Leeds United captain Liam Cooper is hoping defender Ben White stays with the club past this season. The centre-back is on loan from Brighton but has been linked with a move to Liverpool due to his performances at Elland Road. (Sky Sports)

2. Bannan recalled an encounter with Pep
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan has revealed Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola told him he was a “fantastic footballer”. It came after Manchester City had defeated the Owls 1-0 in the FA Cup. (Daily Record)

3. Johnson's radical league-finishing plan
Bristol City manager Lee Johnson has proposed a radical ‘tournament-style’ plan to finish the league season. There is yet to date for the return of football but Johnson reckons once there is, it will benefit the players. (BBC)

4. West Brom boss wants double deal
West Brom boss Slaven Bilic has confirmed the club want to secure loan duo Matheus Pereira and Filip Krovinovic on permanent deals. The duo are on loan from Portuguese giants Sporting Club and Benfica respectively and have impressed. (Birmingham Live)
