"That'll be coming..." - Sheffield Wednesday out to land their first league double against Bournemouth
Sheffield Wednesday face Bournemouth this evening and are out to secure their first league double over a team this season when they make the trip to the Vitality Stadium.
The Owls find themselves in a decent run of form going into their trip down south, losing just one of their last six games in the Championship and going into this evening’s game on the back of a win over Preston North End.
Liam Palmer, who scored the winning goal against Preston, says that they are looking to get out of the relegation zone as soon as possible.
He told the media, “It’s in the back of our minds, but the next game is the only way we can work for the rest of the season. We’ve got to focus on that, get our bodies right, get our minds right and keep going.
“Bournemouth will be looking for a reaction, so we know that’ll be coming. We played them here and they gave us a tough game, and we know the quality they possess and we will have to be right on it again. We’ll pick ourselves up, recover well, and analyse with the coaching staff how we can hurt them.”
And does he think they’ve got enough to stay in the league?
“I look in the dressing room…” he said. “And the boys I’ve been with for a long time now and I know the quality what’s in there, and it’s about sticking together as a group and, in my mind, we’re more than capable of getting ourselves out.”
The Owls face the Cherries at 7pm tonight.
