“We don’t have the biggest of squads, I understand that,” he said.
“Kieran was fantastic at the weekend but knowing his history and where he is, we have to look after him in this short period of games. So we put in Adam in as someone offensive.
“I’m trying to show, and I thought about this in lockdown, I want to be brave. I could have easily come out of lockdown, the way those results were, played the game tight and been hard to beat and try to get results that way.

Hide Ad“But I want to be brave, I want to show this is the way we’re going to move, be on the front foot and play attacking football. That’s the decision I made coming out of the lockdown.
“We’re going to be brave, we’re not just going to shut up shop. These three games have shown that.
“Overall in the three games everyone can see we want to be attacking teams and we want to be offensive. I think overall they’ve done it very well.
“It will take time to get it to a better standard, but I think they’ve had a really good go at it and they’ve shown a lot of what we’ve worked on in short space of time under demanding circumstances.”
