'That shirt and badge used to be a thing of pride' - Sheffield Wednesday fans have their say on Barnsley defeat

It is now seven games without a victory for the former Stoke City boss as the visitors overcame the setback of going behind to an early Josh Windass strike to emerge victorious courtesy of goals from Cauley Woodrow and Dominik Frieser.

The defeat was Wednesday’s first against their neighbours from the other side of the M1 since 2009.

But more worryingly for the Owls is they’re now without a win since beating AFC Bournemouth eight games ago in early November – and to compound their misery, Pulis confirmed after the game that defender Dominic Iorfa will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his achilles tendon today.

However, despite the defeat, Wednesday remain four points adrift of safety at the foot of the Sky Bet Championship due to Nottingham Forest – who the Owls play at the City Ground on Tuesday night – losing 3-1 at home to Brentford.
