Sheffield Wednesday's support shows no signs of wavering as latest announcement made

Sheffield Wednesday’s support shows no signs of wavering despite successive goalless league draws before the international break.
There have been some boos at the end of The Owls’ last two matches in League One, as they failed to score at Hillsborough against both Wigan Athletic and Stockport, without creating many notable chances.
However, Wednesday have not experienced the same problem on the road, winning all of their away games at Leyton Orient, Wycombe Wanderers, Peterborough United and Salford City, 2-1.
Owls fans sold out their allocations in all of those trips and they have been quick to snap the full away end for the visit to Huddersfield Town on October 10. A total of 2,342 Wednesdayites will be there for the Yorkshire derby.
Apart from at Peterborough, where they were given almost 4,000, Wednesday have received small away allocations between one and two thousand which has meant that thousands have missed out. With more local away days coming up against Notts County, Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley, the scramble for tickets is set to continue for the coming weeks and months.
Wednesday have recorded home crowds of more than 30,000 for the last four league matches at Hillsborough this season, and five in total if you count West Brom in May. More than 24,000 season tickets were sold during the summer. Their average attendance this season is 31,552. Leicester City are second with 27,744 and Bradford City are third on 19,299.
In a bid to keep those numbers up, the club announced a special ‘kids for a quid’ ticket offer earlier this week for the rearranged home clash against Cambridge United on October 27. With the game in midweek and during half term for schools, it is hoped many youngsters will be able to attend.
The Owls return to action on Tuesday night against Sunderland under-21s in the EFL Trophy.
