The likes of Massimo Luongo and Adam Reach were out injured when the Owls played their last game – a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Brentford – while others such as Steven Fletcher and Julian Börner were not seen as fully fit due to their injury problems.

Now though, with a proposed league restart date of June 20th being put down by the English Football League, things do seem to be looking up for the SWFC boss in terms of availability.

Speaking to the media via Zoom, Monk said, “We’ve got a few who were carrying injuries, and who - of course - have been important players for us.

“They weren’t available before this pandemic started, and this period has given them a chance to refresh and come back.

“We have a full bill of health, the majority of the squad are in a really good condition - although some need more work - but in terms of everybody training, that’s a big positive out of it.”

With Monk’s comments in mind, it appears that goalkeeper, Keiren Westwood, is the only player who won’t be available for selection on June 20th due to injury, with the shot-stopper said to be nursing a long-term shoulder problem.
