Sheffield Wednesday winger addresses exit speculation, Norwich City eye £13m-rated international

Sheffield Wednesday are back in action this weekend, as they resume their efforts to avoid relegation when they travel to take on Watford in a Saturday afternoon kick-off at Vicarage Road.

Last time the two sides met, Wednesday successfully shut out the Hornets' formidable attacking unit in a goalless draw at Hillsborough, and they'll be hoping for a similarly resilient defensive performance against the promotion-chasing side this time around.

As things stand, the Owls are six points from safety, but do have a precious game in hand over 21st place Birmingham City, who recently brought former player Lee Bowyer in as manager.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Wednesday coach Paul Williams, who has recently joined the club alongside manager Darren Moore, revealed: "We’ve worked really hard. I think the lads are responding to what how the manager wants things to be done, it’s been an upward spiral and I think results have shown that in the last couple of games.

“We came in and there were games every two or three days.

“We’ve worked really hard in this international break and we’re putting down fundamentals of how we want to play. Hopefully that’ll put us in good stead for the rest of the season.”
