Manager Jos Luhukay says he is not surprised by how well goalkeeper Cameron Dawson has acquitted himself this season.
Dawson has started the Owls' six Championship fixtures, helping Luhukay's side pick up 10 points heading into the international break.
It was a big decision by Luhukay to give Dawson the gloves ahead of Joe Wildsmith and Keiren Westwood.
But the Dutchman has been pleased with the academy product's performances.
"Cameron has stepped up very well," said Luhukay. "Honestly, it is no surprise.
"We know with Cammy, and also Joe, that we can trust them and they are the future for us. Of course, it is now important that Cammy gets experience in the Championship and that he has his own personality and is strong for us.
"He needs to give the defence confidence so it is very important that he is putting in performances like this for us."
