Keiren Westwood has said he was glad to see the back of last season, after an injury-ravaged second half of the campaign.
The Owls’ stopper has been on the sidelines with a groin problem since sustaining the injury last December.
Westwood is now working his way back to fitness and recently took part in the Republic of Ireland’s summer camp but wasn’t fit for any of their three friendlies.
The 33-year-old says he now wants to show his mental strength and bounce back next year.
“I was glad to see the back of the season,” he said.

“In tough times, this is where the game tests you and shows how strong you are mentally and where you can be.
"I have been here before and bounced back before so I know I can do it again.”
