The Owls are finally back in the play-off places after Tuesday's last-gasp win over MK Dons, which almost took the roof off Hillsborough Stadium, and will be looking to cut the deficit to the automatic promotion places even further this weekend.

The Chairboys are no pushovers, however, and will be desperate to hold on to second spot. They are also aiming to make it three wins in a row.

Scroll down to see what the Owls’ top-scorer and gaffer have to say about the mouth-watering clash.

  • Top-scorer Lee Gregory will speak to the press at 1pm, followed by Darren Moore at 2pm.
  • The Owls host Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, with both teams hoping to make it three wins on the bounce.
  • Injury updates on several key players to come.

Playing regularly has helped, DM says.

‘He’s a wonderful character, wears his heart on his sleeve.

‘The icing on the cake for Chey has been he really carries a threat from set-plays and has scored a few goals.

‘He’s been really good and hopefully that consistency will continue...’

DM wants to see the sort of passion Dunkley and Bailey Peacock-Farrell showed on Tuesday when they appeared to argue on the pitch.

‘For me, there’s always a continuous improvement. I don’t want there to be one game where we say ‘that’s it we finished our work now’.

‘We have to keeping upping the scales’.

‘In this division I think you will find both sides of the game are just as effective (direct vs possession-based).

‘They are very much in the ascendancy. They come here super confident.

‘In terms of how they play the game, they are very, very effective with it.’

Absolutely fine to start tomorrow.

DM on Windass’s future

‘He wants to be a part of it.

‘To get him to put pen to paper was a real big, massive coup for us.

‘He’s back now and there’s still plenty of football to play.

‘With the ball at his feet he’s got wonderful ability and creativity’.

Adeniran and Johnson are training on the grass, but away from the main group.

‘Josh has been in a position that we felt to start over the last couple of weeks.

‘He’s ready to start.

‘Nathaniel’s fine. He’s in a position that he’s ready to start if need be.’

The gaffer will be with us shortly.

Gregory’s message to the fans

‘Just calm down, trust the process. Just get behind us and we’ll do everything we can.

‘The players are like it as well, it’s not just the fans. We just need to relax.’

‘He listens, he’s willing. When someone listens to you it makes it so much easier.

‘Hopefully we can kick on and start a really good partnership.

‘He’s playing really well. He gives everything for the shirt on the pitch. He will help us massively’.
