Sheffield Wednesday head into the cup tie in decent form

Sheffield Wednesday are in FA Cup action this weekend as they welcome fellow League One side Morecambe to Hillsborough. The Owls will be hoping to kick off their cup campaign in style and make sure they are in the hat for the second round.

Wednesday are in decent league form and head into the cup match off the back of a 4-2 win against Burton Albion. The Owls are undefeated since October 4 when they lost to league leaders Plymouth Argyle.

Morecambe are having a very tough time of things in the league and are currently third from bottom. They have lost 11 out of 17 games, including 3-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

The cup tie is one of the first to take place across the weekend and it kicks off at 7.45pm on Friday November 4. The match has not been selected for live TV coverage, but the Hereford United v Portsmouth will be on ITV1 and kicks off at the same time.

How to get tickets

There’s still time to grab tickets to watch the action live at Hillsborough on Wednesday night through the official Sheffield Wednesday website. Tickets can be purchased from £10 for adults in areas all around the stadium.

How to follow the match

Live updates will be provided through the Sheffield Wednesday official social media channels. There will also be build up coverage and club interviews following the conclusion of the match.
