The Owls are hoping to register back-to-back wins in League One for the first time since August but face a Dons side who have won three on the bounce and sit fifth in the table.

Darren Moore’s side will move back into the play-offs with a win, provided other results also go their way.

Sheffield Wednesday vs MK Dons LIVE

Key Events

  • Sheffield Wednesday could move back into the play-offs with a win
  • MK Dons have won their last three matches and start the evening fifth in League One
  • Josh Windass could make his first appearance of the season following an injury lay-off

‘We didn’t feel like we were unbeaten. We want to win the league.

‘It’s not even Christmas yet. We’re not worrying about the league table at the minute.

‘I love playing here. I like playing in front of big crowds and the pressure’.

‘I flicked it over the guys head on purpose...’

‘I don’t really miss from there too often.’

‘I’m really pleased he’s here and I’ve met him. He’s passionate and has a real desire for the game’.

Says Chansiri came to wish the players well before kick-off.

‘He’s got a wonderful energy for the game’.

DM on Mendez-Laing, who was ‘ready' to start tonight

‘Physically he is ready to go, which is good. As of Saturday he’ll be ready for us.

‘With his experience and his know-how, to have him here is good’.

More on the defender targeted

Says ‘there’s no point’ looking at free agents who will need four to six weeks to ‘be ready’ for first-team action. Marvin Johnson is also returning.

‘Even when we went 1-0 down I sensed an energy from the crowd that they knew the team was trying.

‘I said to the boys it’s probably my best three points.

‘We need to keep that (unity between fans and the team) going.

‘When you win more games you fall into a zone, a mindset, where you feel invincible. I don’t think we’re at that point yet but you have to start somewhere.’

‘I said to the boys tonight was an opportunity to get back-to-back wins.

‘I’m really pleased with the manner in which we’ve done it.

‘For far too long this club has been going in a certain direction that’s not been good. Moments like this help to buck that trend.’

Josh Windass proves the difference with a goal and an assist off the bench.

The Owls are up to fifth!

Hillsborough erupts!

Corbeanue picks out Windass with a cutback and despite fluffing his lines the first time round, he gets a second stab at it and sends the ball into the bottom corner.
