Sheffield Wednesday v Crewe: Darren Moore reaction as Lee Gregory penalty seals win for Owls
and live on Freeview channel 276
With some of their promotion rivals dropping points yesterday, it’s up to Wednesday to take advantage and they will be looking to build on a fine display and victory over MK Dons on Saturday night.
We might not get to see a goal as majestic as Barry Bannan’s against the Dons but Owls fans will be hopeful that another victory will be on the way with just a few matches remaining in the quest to make it back into the Championship at the first time of asking.
Stay with us throughout the night for live updates from Hillsborough.

Well it started like Wednedday were going to go and win this about 10-0. Berahino and Gregory both missed chances and Berahino’s in particular was so bad that Danny Baker’s thinking of bringing back his Bloopers DVD just to show that!
The problem Wednesday had was that Crewe defended fairly well and then grew into the game more and more to the point that they looked like they were having a right old time out there.
No time to panic but the Owls could do with having an early goal in the second half to settle a few nerves.
Shout for a pen
Paterson takes a tumble in the box after some WWE-style grappling. The ref is having none of it, much to the annoyance of the Kop
Chance for Crewe
A rare shot on goal for the visitors as Callum Ainley shoots from distance and forces a good, if comfortable, save from Peacock-Farrell. Just a little warning there for Wednesday
Ramping up the noise
There’s certainly no frustration setting in in the stands. Wednesday fans have been really willing their team on throughout the half and ramp it up when it looks as though it’s going a bit flat on the pitch
Great run NML
Superb burst forward by Mendez-Laing and he had his pick of options in the middle but to be fair to Crewe they defended the cross well. A cut back to Gregory might have been the better option but difficult to be critical
Nice bit of gallows humour in the away end
Crewe fans are ‘oleing’ every touch after a brief period of possession.
