Sheffield Wednesday transfer news: Owls' £10m signing wanted by two divisional rivals

Sheffield Wednesday's hopes of avoiding relegation took another blow last weekend, with 1-1 draw against Bristol City leaving the Owls still nine points away from safety, with just four matches of their 2020/21 campaign left to go.

Derby County look to be the side Wednesday need to chase down, and their dismal run of form will give the Owls some hope of pulling off a miraculous escape, as the two sides meet at Pride Park on the final day of the season next month.

Speaking last weekend's clash against the Robins, Owls assistant Jamie Smith, who was standing in for Darren Moore, claimed: "It’s not just me that’s devastated (with the result), it’s everybody in the dressing room. All the players, all the staff, they all feel the same. It’s a game we thought we could win, and with the chances we created we should’ve won.

Now we come in tomorrow, and we go again. We need to highlight the good bits of play we had, show them the chances that we did create. It’d be more frustrating and disappointing if we weren’t creating chances, so we just have to stay positive.

“It starts with us, so when we come in tomorrow we need to be positive and bright. We’ll reflect on the game, and show them things we did well and also things we can improve on.”

Wednesday are back in action tomorrow evening, when they take on 15th placed Blackburn Rovers at Hillsborough.

Here are today's biggest transfer stories and the latest team news involving Sheffield Wednesday and the rest of the Championship, as the reaction to the weekend's action continues:
