The Owls players reported back for training on Friday, with in-demand defender Julian Börner among those who have returned, despite reports in his native Germany suggesting that a contract has already been agreed with the player to take him to Hannover 96.
Wednesday will continue their preparations for the new season this week before heading off to Wales for a training camp, at the end of which they will take on Celtic.
While it’s quiet on the incoming front for the Owls, other League One sides remain busy attempting to strengthen their squads for a promotion push this coming season.
