Sheffield Wednesday have completed two incoming deals, with three going the other way, and have designs on doing plenty more before the guillotine drops on the transfer window at 11pm on Thursday. Deals are being done in the shadows and are yet to hit the media, but with big-money bids having gone towards Stateside strikers and existing Owls players the subject of interest, it feels like it's going to be a busy time.
Some deals are done, some are being worked on and some are dead in the water. Let's take a look at every Wednesday story of the transfer window so far - with the very latest as we have it on where the deals are at.
5. Pierce Charles
One of the most hotly-tipped youngsters in the Owls academy, goalkeeper Charles is a player who is the subject of discussion at S6 with regard to a possible loan move. Decisions will be made going forward - though injury to Cameron Dawson makes it feel unlikely. Could in theory loan out to non-league after the deadline ends, of course. | Steve Ellis
6. Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill
Reported as a potential transfer option elsewhere, former Arsenal youngster Ormonde-Ottewill has had an interesting career in Europe since leaving Swindon Town in 2017. Has played plenty in the Dutch second division and is now in Hungary with Puskás Akadémia. Aged 28, he does fulfil a position Wednesday are looking to strengthen. | Getty Images
7. Josh Windass
Often admired by clubs elsewhere, Windass is an important player for Wednesday, particularly under Rohl. Atletico Talleres are reported to have returned to their interest and The Star understands a bid has been received from MLS side Real Salt Lake. Windass told reporters no contract talks have been had with Wednesday. Seems highly unlikely he'll go anywhere. | PA
8. Michael Smith
There's interest in Smith, as there was in the summer. The Star understands multiple League One clubs are batting admiring eyes, though approaches enquiring as to free transfer and loan switches have been rebuffed. His future remains to be seen. Photo: Ben Roberts Photo/Getty Images
