Speaking to the media today, Monk said: “We’re going to be linked with everyone, we’re talking to a number of people and seeing where we can get with them.

“It’s just a case of me not really having any information to tell you. I think I’ve said it to you the last two or three games, I promise you, if I have any news then I’ll tell you.”

Watford eye Owls star

Watford are interested in Sheffield Wednesday defender Dominic Iorfa, according to the Independent.

Iorfa, the Owls’ player of the season last term, has already been the subject of an enquiry from a Premier League club and another Championship side.

Any swoop from the Hornets, however, may depend upon outgoings at Vicarage Road before the transfer deadline.

Man City starlet in-demand

Swansea City and Bournemouth are ready to battle it out for Manchester City starlet Joel Latibeaudiere, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Both clubs have contacted Pep Guardiola’s City over a possible loan deal for the defender, who lifted the under-17s World Cup with England, coincidentally under Swans boss Steve Cooper.

The Citizens are willing to offload Latibeaudiere on a permanent basis for free, although a deal would likely demand a sizeable future sell-on clause

Luton Town have also been credited with interest in the 20-year-old.

Fulham join Benrahma race

Fulham are planning to hijack Crystal Palace's swoop for Brentford attacker Said Benrahma, as per Daily Mail.

Representatives at Craven Cottage have contacted the Algerian’s advisors with a view to launching a move, despite him being in advanced talks with Palace.

The Bees value Benrahma close to £20m as he looks to complete a move to the Premier League before October 5.

Derby County, Watford and Bournemouth are queuing up to sign Jordan Obita following his Reading departure, The Sun claim.

The 31-year-old has been without a club since his Royals contract expired in July but now has interest from three clubs vying for promotion.

Done deal

Wycombe Wanderers have completed the season-long loan signing of Everton midfielder Dennis Adeniran.

The 21-year-old began his career at Fulham and became the Cottagers’ youngest ever scorer, netting on his senior debut in a League Cup victory in 2016.

"Dennis is an exciting young talent who has all the attributes to become a really important player for us this season,” manager Gareth Ainsowrth said.

“He’s a really energetic, box-to-box midfielder, and comes here eager to learn and develop his game, which we believe he can do just like many other young loanees who’ve joined us early in their careers.”
