Sheffield Wednesday to cash-in on Jordan Rhodes? – Reports link Owls forward with Queens Park Rangers
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
The transfer window opened up this week as the new year got underway, with the step into 2021 meaning that a number of Owls players are now into the final six months of their contracts at Hillsborough.

Hide AdRhodes, who was a club record signing of around £8m when he joined, is one of those players, and he now finds himself substantially down the pecking order at the club after a torrid goal return in recent years.
The 30-year-old has made 90 appearances for the Owls over his loan and permanent spells with the club, but his return of just 14 goals is far from what the club were hoping for when they forked out so much money to Middlesbrough.
Now, according to reports from The Sun, Queens Park Rangers have shown an interest in bringing the forward on board, and it could be something that would be tempting for Dejphon Chansiri.

Hide AdRhodes has hardly featured under any of the last three managers, and remains on the bench in Neil Thompson’s plans, so the opportunity to at least recoup some money – however little – rather than lose him for free could be seen as a decent bit of business. He’s also one of the club’s highest earners.
It remains to be seen whether QPR’s interest will become anything more than that before the end of the month, but it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on, especially given that it’s not the first time they’ve kept tabs on him.
