And Sheffield Wednesday’s announcement of their season ticket prices for the 2021/22 season has been met with a warm but slightly mixed reaction after price plunges across the stadium were confirmed.

The cheapest adult season ticket comes out at £365 on the Kop, while there have been reductions to the tickets at the top end of things, too, with a South Stand season ticket coming out at £495, or £21.50 per match.

@murray1867 – People will always moan but personally I think the club has listened and those are decent prices

@AndrewSlaughte1 – It’s simple… If you want a season ticket you buy one, if you don’t want a season ticket you don’t buy one. Ffs the club needs some income.

@BillBrown1867 – £445 on the North is still massively overpriced when we’re in the 3rd division and appear to be in one hell of a mess on and off the pitch.

@BenCorbridge – Not at all unreasonable there, tickets in the south stand ~ £21.50 per game isn’t bad at all considering gig tickets at the arenas these days can cost £100+. Yes we are in L1 next season but the cost of running #swfc is much greater than Morecambe and the other tinpot clubs

@markham86 – Is it just me that thinks these are priced really well, specially for the Kop. For a change I’m giving the club praise.

@RawmarshOwl87 – First season ticket in 17 years as worked alot of Saturdays but now don't, can't wait!

@ploehmann – Prices dropped, yes - but from the highest in the Championship to around average (not done the numbers (yet)). And we’re no longer in the Championship and people in South Yorkshire are struggling financially, so that still seems too much for L1 football if you ask me.

@Amillo47 – About £100 cheaper for me and my 18 Yr old, well done

@Turk_S8 – Pricing about right, hard sell with the present uncertainty and lack of communication regarding wages, embargo etc. Club need to come out and tell the truth.

@Bxn_s6 – Who’s gonna pay for season tickets when they haven’t even got the money from their old ones?

@s2owl – £19 to sit on halfway line in north stand I’ll take that.

@nanjayman – Not too bad. But, with some fans the damage has been done, they'll stay away and I think we'll see crappy gates, unless we got the ground running, and keep it up.
