Boss Jos Luhukay has made wholesale changes to his Owls side for today's clash at promotion-chasing Aston Villa.

Luhukay, who was scathing of his side's poor ball retention in the midweek defeat to Nottingham Forest, handed Chelsea loanee Michael Hector his first Wednesday start.

There were also first-team recalls for Daniel Pudil, Matt Penney, Joey Pelupessy and Steven Fletcher. Hector and Pudil's inclusions suggest Wednesday will switch from a 4-2-3-1 formation to 3-5-2.

Jordan Thorniley (calf) was unavailable for selection while Morgan Fox, Josh Onomah, Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao all dropped to the bench.
