Sheffield Wednesday talent stars with huge moment in impressive win out on loan

Sheffield Wednesday youngster, Jack Hall, has got off to a fine start in his loan spell with Bradford Park Avenue.

The goalkeeper, who turns 20 today, joined the club on loan recently as he takes his latest steps into senior football, and after two games he’s already got two clean sheets and six points to his name - but that’s not all.

Hall made his debut in the 1-0 win over Garforth Town at the weekend, playing his part in helping Avenue win their third game on the bounce, but then went on to impress even more in his second outing as he saved a penalty with the scores locked at 0-0 away at Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Their opponents don’t lose at home often - it’d happened in the league just twice in 2024 prior to Wednesday night - so keeping them out in those early stages was crucial from the Owls loanee... Especially given what happened in the second half.

The game was tightly fought, with Hall receiving praise for his performance, but then a late blitz from the visitors saw them go 3-0 up in the space of 15 minutes, securing victory and closing the gap on the play-off places to just the one point. For Hall it was another feather in his cap.

Next up for BPA is another opponent that Hall will be familiar with as his side play host to Sheffield FC, the world’s first football club, in what will be his first home game since joining, and he’ll be desperate to make it three wins from three if he’s selected once again.
