The Owls thumped Nottingham Forest 4-0 at the City Ground on Saturday to move up to fifth in the Championship.
All the goals came in the first-half, with Rhodes, 29, giving Wednesday the lead with a clinical left-footed finish on nine minutes, his first since April 2018.

Hide AdJust four minutes later the forward found the net with a header from an Adam Reach cross.
And then came the best of the lot.
With the ball bouncing around in the box, Wednesday’s record £8m signing in February 2017, stunned the City Ground and sent the travelling Owls fans wild with an acrobatic finish to put the visitors well in control.
Steven Fletcher added a fourth to continue his hot streak in front of goal.
Talking about his overhead kick, Rhodes said: "I didn't know too much about it to be honest.

Hide Ad"I maybe wouldn't have taken it on if I had not scored the two goals.
"Maybe would have done the striker thing and got my body in between the defender and the ball and maybe laid off the ball.
"But having the confidence of the two previous goals, I took it on luckily enough it went in.”
