Sheffield Wednesday seek attacker loan exit – multiple clubs show interest

Sheffield Wednesday are now actively looking to try and get striker, Bailey Cadamarteri, out on loan this summer.

The Star reported last month that it was looking increasingly likely that the 19-year-old would be on his way out of the club before the transfer window closed, with the club looking to get him more regular minutes elsewhere for the 2024/25 campaign.

Now, with Wednesday having completed the signing of Iké Ugbo from Troyes on a permanent transfer, it’s understood that Cadamarteri is now expected to head out on a temporary basis in the coming weeks – and he’s not short of options.

It has previously been reported by this publication that newly promoted Wrexham are believed to have shown an interest in Cadamarteri, as have the likes of Lincoln City, Stockport County and Blackpool – but there he also has admirers north of the border from clubs such as Motherwell, Dundee United and Hibernian.

On top of the aforementioned clubs it is thought that there are a whole host of other clubs across the English Football League who are considering making a loan offer for the talented teen, however ‘Cadz’ will be weighing up his options carefully before a decision is made.

It remains to be seen what sort of terms would need to be agreed regarding a loan move for the England youth international, and Danny Röhl will be eager to make sure that Cadamarteri joins a club that will be beneficial to his development rather just being a loan for the sake of a loan.
