Attacker Kachunga spent his early career in Germany with Borussia Mönchengladbach and SC Paderborn and played for Germany at youth level before he made the switch to England.

A powerful, direct option with a powerful right foot, Kachunga arrives just a couple of days before the Owls’ Carabao Cup season opener at Walsall on Saturday.

Speakig after a 0-0 pre-season friendly draw with Leicester, Owls boss Garry Monk said: “It's been brilliant with a lot of hard work, plenty of sessions in the day and we mixed it away from here with team spirit and team building activities and finished with a game. In terms of what we wanted from the week we definitely got that.

“There's a lot of improvement to go in certain areas to help the group we have which we are trying to work on but overall we are very pleased.”
