Sheffield Wednesday rumours: Owls tipped to land ex-Millwall striker, Swansea City could secure £8m boost
Sheffield Wednesday are set for a hectic few months, as they look to bolster their depleted squad with fresh talent as they face the tough task of bouncing back to the Championship next season.
The Owls are heading into their first League One in a decade, and will have to keep their wits about them in a division now significantly more competitive, with the likes of Sunderland, Portsmouth and Rotherham United all set to battle the Owls for promotion.
Meanwhile, ex-Wednesday ace Chris Brunt has been discussing the time he spent at Hillsborough early on in his career, and said: “Mark Proctor was my youth team manager and he knew Chris (Turner, former Owls boss) from when they'd played at Sheffield Wednesday
“As a young lad going in playing under-18 or under-19 football to playing in front of 22,000 people each week at Hillsborough was brilliant. I loved every minute of it.
“It’s a massive club. That was the weird thing; that I'd come from a Premier League team to a bigger club if you like. Middlesbrough is a big club in its own right but Wednesday with his history and so on, I knew a lot more about Sheffield Wednesday.
“Going back to Hillsborough it always brings all those feelings back, it's a great stadium and when things are going well you remember how good it can be.”
Here are today's biggest transfer stories and the latest team news involving Sheffield Wednesday and the rest of the English Football League, as the build-up to summer transfer window and next season continues.
