Dave Jones is relieved to learn that Hull do not intend to recall Matty Fryatt before his second month on loan is up.
Concern was caused when Steve Bruce revealed that he would be calling the Owls boss this week and an early return for Fryatt was a possibility.
A chat between the two clubs has taken place, and Jones can pencil in Fryatt for the games against Huddersfield and Blackpool.
Then it will be a question of whether Hull want Fryatt back or will allow him to stay for a third month.
Tigers assistant manager Steve Agnew said: “It was important that Matty went out to play some games and score goals. He’s done exactly that and it’s good to see. It’s never easy coming back from such a long time out.
“From our reports where we’ve had scouts monitoring him, he’s certainly looking a lot fitter than he was.
“Will we consider recalling him at the end of his loan? Yes, that’s a possibility. Let’s just wait and see on that one.
“We extended his loan by another month so if we’ve committed to another month, we’ll see that through and see how he goes.”
