Sheffield Wednesday relegation rivals hoping to seal THREE MORE deadline deals ahead of deadline
It’s been a quiet deadline day for Sheffield Wednesday so far as we enter the final couple of hours of the transfer window. But it hasn’t been case elsewhere in the relegation dogfight.
Derby County have been particularly active, adding Manchester United youngster Teden Mengi alongside experienced Championship forward Lee Gregory, both on loan. And they’re attempting to tie up deals for THREE more players.
Mengi, an 18-year-old defender, made his only first team appearance from the bench of the Premier League giants in last year’s Europa League round of 16.
It is the first signing example of Rams boss Wayne Rooney using his Old Trafford contacts.

Powerful target man Gregory, who has often been linked with Wednesday in previous transfer windows, joins from Stoke City.
The three deals Derby are reportedly chasing are Rangers’ defender George Edmundson, Manchester City forward Patrick Roberts and Everton midfielder Beni Baningime, all on loan.
Rams youngster Morgan Whittaker and midfielder George Evans have moved on to Swansea and Millwall respectively.
After an impressive run of form, Derby sit five points clear of the relegation spots, six points ahead of Wednesday.
