The Republic of Ireland youth international was lackadaisical in his back pass to Murphy Cooper, which Morgan Whittaker pounced on to give the home side a lead they never really looked like giving up. That said, Boro were limited to few chances themselves by a hard-working Wednesday performance.
The match, the penultimate away day in what has been a long and arduous Owls campaign, will not go down in the annals of history.
