The Owls welcome a resurgent Ipswich Town this weekend and will be keen to put lingering memories of their defeat at Oxford United behind them.

The game could see debuts for the new boy trio of Jordan Storey, Tyreece John-Jules and Harlee Dean.

Dean himself will face questions from the media, with Owls boss Darren Moore following shortly afterwards.

LIVE: Sheffield Wednesday press day - Harlee Dean and Darren Moore

HD on Bowyer comments

It disappointed me. He’s never said that to me personally, so to say it in the press I was disappointed.

I was club captain and pride myself on how I go about things.

Maybe he meant it in another way. If we weren’t there, perhaps we wouldn’t have stayed up. He’s trying to change the dynamic with younger players.

It was a business decision and they were open with that.

I never got comfortable, I said that in the opening interview here.

I’ve come from painting houses and I know how lucky I am. I never let me standards drop. I needed a new challenge, it was tough at times recently.

I just want to play matches. I’ve been working very hard while I’ve been playing, but you can never replicate match football.

It’s all in the mind, you know what you need and that I need to be robust. I’m sure I can get through most things.

HD on defensive issues

Speaking to the lads and the manager, they haven’t had a centre half for a long time so to be where they are, it’s an achievement.

They’ve been making do and getting results that way, which is testament to the lads.

This is my role and something I’ve done for a long time.

I’d imagine DM has brought me in for my organisational and leadership. I’m experienced, for me it’s about keeping clean sheets and allowing the quality in front of me to go and get the goals.

I’m hoping you’ll see an improvement defensively.

Harlee Dean on his move

After speaking to the manager I was happy to get going as soon as possible.

First impressions are very good, a very good squad and good professionalism.

There’s a lot of experience and a lot of quality. It’s definitely a squad and a club that can push and hopefully go on to promotion.

I wanted something to fight for. I wanted that good feeling back, winning games, the expectancy to win games. You can’t underestimate how important that is. It’s a big thing for me.

I’m looking forward to winning a lot of football matches.

Good afternoon, Wednesdayites!

..and welcome to another press day with Sheffield Wednesday.

We’ll be speaking to new signing Harlee Dean at around 1.15pm, with Darren Moore following at around 2pm.
