Jamie Smith press conference LIVE: Stand-in boss speaks ahead of do-or-die Derby date

That’s about it from Jamie

See you tomorrow..

I’m here to talk about football. I don’t get involved in that. The lads have been spot on this week in terms of how they go about their work.

JS on Osaze Urhoghide

It’s tactical and to freshen it up. That’s why he came out of the team.

JS on potential changes

We’ll see how the lads are tomorrow. We’ll make the decisions from there.

It’s a big, fantastic club. But it’s a tough league, it’s not easy. Every team we play, we’re up for a big challenge and it is a tough league.

They’ve got some top players in the attacking part of the pitch and there are a few we have to look out for.

It’s huge. For everybody at the club.

We’ll have to see and we’ll take it day by day to see how he is. We just don’t know.

Potentially he’ll be in the director’s boss if nothing else.

He’s spoken about belief, being positive and looking forward to the game.

JS on message to the fans

We’re hoping to get the three points and for things to go our way.

We’re doing everything we can to win the game tomorrow.

JS on players speaking

It’s been the same on us preparing for every game. We’re focused and ready.

JS on managing nerves

It’s not just us. It;s a game we must win, the players know that and it’s been a really good week’s training.

We’ll take that out tomorrow.

It’s too soon for him to say.

It’s too soon for him to say.

I’ve seen him. He’s in a better place and he’s better in himself but he has a long way.

He’s been about at the training ground and that’s been good.

It’s been a big boost for the players too.

JS on the mentality

If you start changing too much around, the players get nervy. It’s not just another game but in essence it is.

There’ll be people around listening to people around at Cardiff.

They’ve not shown any shirnking violets.

Wayne is a huge character, had an unbelievable career. Maybe there is more pressure on him.

I’m excited, that’s the word.

We spoke about it yesterday.

It’s massive, there’s no getting away from it. We’re looking forward to it.

We have to treat it as we have done, that’s how we work, to win the game, and it hasn’t changed this week.
