Sheffield Wednesday return to action on Tuesday night in the EFL Trophy against Sunderland under-21s.
Two weeks after beating Salford City in their first group game, The Owls now host Sunderland’s youngsters in a 7pm kick-off at Hillsborough.
Wednesday have some had some time off in the last fortnight during the international break but they were back at Middlewood Road from the middle of last week. Although this Saturday’s trip to Huddersfield Town will take priority, Tuesday evening could be an opportunity to brush off cobwebs for some and get minutes into the legs of others.
Let’s take a look at how they could line-up...

1. Ashley Maynard-Brewer - GK
The summer signing was a safe pair of hands on his debut against Salford City two weeks ago. His first-half saves kept Wednesday in it. | Steve Ellis

2. Sean Fusire - RB
Not started for Wednesday yet this season but played two 45-minute halves for Zimbabwe during this international break after returning from injury. | Steve Ellis

3. Di Shon Bernard - CB
The popular defender got an hour under his belt against Salford City after his long-awaited return from injury. This fixture provides him with another ideal opportunity to continue his progress. | Steve Ellis

4. Ernie Weaver - CB
Like Bernard, the young centre-back could do with another run-out after a long time out. | Steve Ellis
