Sheffield Wednesday are the team with the power when it comes to the League One title stakes - top of the table with games in hand on their closest rivals.
But injuries have crept back in and they have a very difficult battle with Barnsley to contend with on Tuesday. With the Tykes one of several sides to have shown excellent form in recent weeks, absolutely nothing is guaranteed.
So who will go up? What about the play-offs? Who looks most likely for relegation?
The number crunchers and statistics experts at FiveThirtyEight have taken into account the quality of each squad, form guides and remaining fixtures to draw up their recmmendations on who will finish where on what number of points.
And it’s tight in several areas of the table - with a handful of spots separated by goal difference.

17. 8th - Wycombe Wanderers - 74 pts
Another close call with the play-offs is on the cards, it seems. Though they’ve done OK, the test was going to come when Gareth Ainsworth left the club and they haven’t been able to sustain the form guide he was building. A one-in-10 chance of play-off qualification won’t be the biggest odds they’ve beaten in recent years, mind. | Getty Images

18. 7th - Derby County - 76 pts
Not long ago seen as a real contender for the top two, such was their sustained form, Paul Warne’s lot have buckled a touch and are on-course for a 76 point finish. It has Derby to finish seventh, just missing out on play-off qualification. There’s a 35% shot at the top six, the numbers read - and an 8% of promotion back to the second tier. It’s all to play for. 19. 6th - Peterborough United - 78 pts
The goals of Jonson Clarke-Harris (above) haven’t quite been enough to make good on Posh’s ambitions of an immediate automatic return to the second tier - but the play-off picture is in focus. A 6th place finish would be more than satisfying especially since the appointment of Darren Ferguson. Posh have a 70% chance of finishing top six and a 16% shot at winning the play-offs. 20. 5th - Bolton Wanderers - 80 pts
The best of the rest. Strong and uncompromising, Ian Evatt has built a side that is tough to beat and that has no little quality. Good form this year is very on-brand and though a shot at the automatics has dwindled to nil, there’s a 87% chance of making the play-offs. Promotion? 20% - or one-in-five. | Getty Images
