First-team regular Tom Lees is confident Sheffield Wednesday can maintain their impressive away record when they travel to Fulham this weekend.
Stuart Gray’s charges have collected 17 of their 28 points away from Hillsborough, suffering just one loss in 10 outings.
The Owls are on a five-match unbeaten run on their travels and centre-back Lees believes the team can pick up another positive result in the capital.
He told The Star: “We’ve done all right against some top-end teams away from home so we’ve got to take the positives out of that.
“We’ve got to replicate what we did in the first 20 minutes to half an hour against Wolves when I thought we were really good. We’ve got to put our chances away and put the game to bed and give ourselves a bit breathing space.”
Asked why Wednesday are better on the road than in their own backyard, Lees replied: “We don’t change things differently in the week because we are playing away. We approach it exactly the same. We’ve had a few games where we have nicked results like Wolves did at the weekend. Maybe we have done better on the counter-attack.”
