Sheffield Wednesday new signings Kamil Zayatte and Atdhe Nuhiu may miss out on their full Owls debuts today at Loftus Road as the club waits for the pair’s international clearance.

The Star understands that, while both are registered with the Football League, their International Transfer Certificates (ITC) have not yet arrived.

Without the ITC, which can still be received in the build up to the 3pm kick-off against Queens Park Rangers, neither would be allowed to play in the Championship season’s first match.

Zayette, aged 28, signed a two-year contract with Wednesday yesterday while Nuhiu, aged 23, signed a three-year deal on July 25.

The Albania-born striker was a free agent after spending last season with Eskisehirspor in Turkey.

Zayette’s last football was in Turkey too, where he played for Konyaspor and Istanbul BB.
