Sheffield Wednesday have announced their home strip for the 2018/19 campaign will go on sale at Owls in the Park this Sunday.
The Championship say the kit will be available to buy in the club’s Megastore from 10am to “reduce unnecessary queuing time and potential congestion at the event”.
Owls in the Park, the club’s annual community fun day, takes place at Hillsborough Park and is set to attract in the region of 15,000 fans this weekend.
Wednesday have yet to reveal their strip for next season but a large proportion of the fan-base hope they will return to stripes in the team’s home jersey. Chairman Dejphon Chansiri controversially opted to ditch the broad blue and white stripes in favour of a white pinstripe on a blue shirt two years ago.
A number of manufacturing issues problems meant the Owls’ replica shirts did not go on sale until October last year. Wednesday were widely-criticised over the lengthy kit delay and Chansiri conceded it overshadowed their 150th anniversary celebrations.
