DAVE JONES has told of his frustration after feeling that his team gave a dominant display at Blackburn though they suffered a 10th successive game without a win.
The Owls went behind in the fifth minute but fought back and had enough chances to have notched that elusive victory last night.
Jones admitted: “We have got to put the ball in the back of the net. We did everything but that. Take away the first 10 minutes and I thought we absolutely slaughtered them. But it’s that final third, that final delivery that is letting us down.
“In the last two games we have probably dominated. After the first 10 minutes, we took the game to Blackburn and I think they had a free kick and a long-range shot but the rest of the time we laid siege to their goal. But we haven’t made the goalkeeper work because we have either over-hit the ball or under-hit it or just not make that final pass.
“It is frustrating because the players are close to it and I feel for them because they are really working hard.”
But the Owls will go to bottom club Ipswich on Saturday believing that they can begin the revival there. Jones said: “We have to keep believing.”
