The man in the middle...

Tony Harrington will be the man in the middle for Sheffield Wednesday’s game against Bristol City, and he’s no stranger to either side…

Harrington actually reffed the Owls’ 1-0 win over Bristol at Hillsborough last season and was the referee who sent Liam Palmer off in the 2-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

In total, Harrington has been in charge of 11 Wednesday games, of which the Owls have won only four, losing seven.

This from the Independent: "Watford are interested in Sheffield Wednesday centre-half Dominic Iorfa as Vladimir Ivic looks to strengthen his squad in a push to return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

"The recently-relegated Championship club are in the market to bolster their options at centre-half, though a move may depend upon outgoings at Vicarage Road.

“Iorfa is also understood to have been the subject of any enquiry from a Premier League club and other Championship side have registered interest. "

What about Callum Paterson? Garry Monk comments on reported Wednesday target

Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with Scottish international, Callum Paterson, this week, and now the Owls’ boss, Garry Monk, has commented on the situation.

Monk on Callum Paterson

We’re going to be linked with everyone… We’re talking to a number of people, but nothing’s imminent.

I promise you, if I have any news I’ll tell you.

The door will always be open for somebody like Jacob, and he knows that.

But he’s another club’s player. You keep the door open, but you assess what else is about.

We’re not just focused on Jacob, we’re looking at the whole squad.
